Recipe Book

A book we created to gather all our favorite childhood recipes. If you’re feeling uninspired on a rainy autumn evening and have a sudden urge to cook, take a moment to flip through it. You’ll find little culinary treasures that are simple to make!

Hiking Trail "La Chouklak"

A 1 km loop trail that we set up for everyone to enjoy. It begins on the grounds of Kölmar, at the bottom of the slope, to the right of the chalet when viewed from the main entrance. This little hike is well marked with signs labeled "La Chouklak." The end of the trail is on the left side of the chalet.

When you're eager to explore the area, a wealth of activities beckons. Right on the property, you can enjoy snowshoeing, while an access trail leads to fantastic fatbiking options, and the Sentiers du Moulin bike rental center is just 5 minutes away. Similarly close by, Sentiers Du Moulin offers cross-country skiing.

For those inclined towards skiing, various options like Le Relais (15 minutes), Stoneham (25 minutes), Mont-Ste-Anne (1 hour), or Le Massif (1 hour and 15 minutes) are within reach via convenient ski lifts.

Experience the thrill of ice skating on Lac Beauport's natural 3 km rink, merely 10 minutes away, or indulge in local brews at Archibald, a short 15-minute drive. For more exhilarating experiences, Pourvoirie du Lac-Beauport is 15 minutes away, offering dog sledding and snowmobiling.

Discover the cultural richness of the First Nations Village at Wendake within a 25-minute drive, or head to Quebec City for vibrant nightlife and top-tier restaurants, just a 25-30 minute journey away. Don't miss the historical allure of Old Quebec and the iconic Château Frontenac, both reachable in 30 minutes.

To unwind, explore the nearby Scandinavian spas: Siberia Spa is a quick 10-minute trip and the Ström Spa is 30 minutes away. Nature lovers can marvel at the Montmorency Waterfalls within a 30-minute drive or experience the wonder of the Ice Hotel and Tube Snow Sliding at Valcartier, also 30 minutes away. Valcartier further offers an indoor (winter) and outdoor (summer) Water Park for year-round enjoyment.

For a deeper immersion into nature's beauty and activities like snowshoeing, fat biking, hiking, skishoeing, tubing, and kicksledding, consider Parc de la Jacques-Cartier, which is a 45-minute drive. For a particularly recommended natural retreat, Parc National des Grands Jardins awaits, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes away.

I give my guests space but I am available when needed!

*It is important to note that accessing the chalet involves a journey of over 2 km through forest trails. A steep incline may make access difficult, especially in winter. However, this poses no issue with a 4x4 vehicle. That's why the use of a 4x4 vehicle is mandatory in winter. (You have the option to book a shuttle service 24 hours before your arrival, for an additional fee, which includes secure parking for your own vehicle). Towing fees of $500 are required if needed. Shuttle service is also available from the train station and the airport (fees apply).

Winter tires are mandatory from November to April 15th.

The outdoor hammock on the terrace is designed for a maximum of two people.

***Be careful with the stairs inside and outside the chalet, as they are very steep. Climb or descend them slowly and cautiously.
